Problems unplugging doors?

Anyone else having problems unplugging the front doors? Seems like its getting harder to get them unplugged each time I do it... or maybe its just me...

Hmmm.. No issues for me.. The only issue I have is the damn hook the limiting strap goes on.. Getting it off can be a pain in the ass..

take an angle grinder and just trim the little nipple a tiny bit, it slides right off then.

And OP, apply a little dielectric grease on the male connector outter shell where it mates, and remove the red keeper (don't need it) and you'll be just fine.

Good tips- I need to do both of those. I fight with the strap and the connector every time I take the doors off.

My driver side is like that, and the passenger rear is like that. I actually like it better like that as it is easier to get to now.

both driver/pass sides have a male slider mounted on the inner tub below the firewalls, on the sheetmetal. they are both vertically mounted. Your male/female door elec plugs have a built in female matching side for this male slide and it slides in from the top I think. Might be bottom but that's how they go on. Get a good flashlight, your reading glasses, a stiff Coke & Rum and get comfy under there and hook it up

takes just a sec actually, once you know how it goes on/off.

Pull hard enough and locking things break. Then just let it hang. Works fine.

x2.. it took a little too much to keep putting back on to continue doing it. Exercise in futility
