Just got a cobra 18 wx cb

I just got a gently used cobra 18 wx cb for $35. What yall think? Is a good cb for trails? Pros cons.

That's exactly what I got here. Picked it up from another forum member for like $75 w/ antenna. It worked fine on the trail this past weekend.

That is the CB that I have and it works great for the trails. Here is a picture of where I mounted mine.

My antenna is on the tailgate using a Teraflex mount.

I have had one for about a month...seems to be very good. I have an external speaker hidden within the roll bar padding above the driver's seat so when the glove box is closed I can still hear things. It's plently loud going down the interstate with the top down 70mph too!

Would it be very hard to mount it to the side of the console on the passenger side? What antenna are yall using, I'm thinking about 4ft Firestick.

I imagine that it would not be hard to mount to the console on the passenger side. I used a 4th firestick on the tailgate (Teraflex mount) and it is just higher than the jeep. I am not sure if a 4th would be high enough if you mounted it lower (like the bumper or licence plate).
