Engine lighting

My buddy Andrew hoked me up with some awesome lighting for my rig under the hood.. clean install and bright. turns on only when hoods open. Next he's doing rock lights and inside tailgate light.

That is a lot of light I ma kinda feeling that. It seems to be something missing on my jeep not that I have had the hood open many times with only 4k on it so far.

I think they had an under hood light on some models waaaaaaaaaaay back on the 2007's.

Sure my rig has seen the trail, but I wheel it like a soccer mom looking for a parking spot at Nordstroms.

That looks great! Can you tell us what light you're using there?

I've thought of adding a couple of LEDs to my rock light wiring, but I really want a dedicated light with a mercury switch.

That looks like a good amount of light, with an automatic switch built in, so I wish to shamelessly copy your idea.

We offer an LED Engine bay kit that is quite easy to install, and comes with a hood-latch switch

Single color kits start at just $30

USED one of these out of the pack THIS:
http://www.amazon.com/Super-Bright-L...hite+led+strip

The switch is a regular straight switch I bought at electrical store for hoods. On the JK its tough finding a flat spot to install the switch. I used the wing tab on passenger side up by window. Installed right to battery with 10 amp water proof fuse holder.

All the parts were about $15

Straight Hood Switch mounting options

I bought a kit that also has the straight hood switch and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to install the switch. Would it be possible to post a pic of what your talking about with that wing tab by the window? Much appreciated
