I have a 250 watt jl audio amp and a 10" sub from a previous jeep project Im wanting to wire it in to my 12 jeep rubicon but I want to use both the stock sub and my jl. I mean if 1 sub is good 2 has got to be better. Is this possible?
Yes it can be done as along as you split the high level lines to either convert to RCAs or run the high ins if your amp has that capability.
Personally I wouldn't do it. The subs are different sizes, with different frequency responses, etc. I would just run the aftermarket sub, as it will probably sound much better than the factory unit.
I removed my factory sub, then put two JL 8W1s, run in series, in a single chamber down firing enclosure. Sounds 100 times better than the factory set up, and also still thumps with the top down.
