Quick question before agreeing there's a problem with your Jeep:

Before the cruise control cut out, did you by any chance tap the brakes or clutch, or touch the cruise control stalk on the steering column?

If so, there's no problem. If not, I hope you figure out what the problem is.

If you have cruise control (CC) on, and you hit a bump or your ESC light flashes after you hit whatever, it will disengage your CC. Happens to me frequently. First time freaked me out, 2nd time I realized what was going on, 3rd time and on I just hit "resume". Otherwise, if your ESC light is on all the time, there's a chance that your CC won't work at all. If those are your issues, check your abs lines and make sure the sensors are working. If they are not, your CC will not work.

My cruise control just kicked on at 5 mph coming up my driveway. Could've possibly hit Resume button as my driveway in rough. It should never have came on at that speed and it wouldnt shut off. Had to shut engine off, turned it back on and if didnt shut off. After 3 times it did. This is a major problem and have no idea what to do. Anyone have any ideas?

My CC will kick off about once or twice a month for no apparent reason, no bumps or anything.

So far, I've just dealt with it as getting the dealer to do anything for a problem so intermittent is next to impossible.

Now back to a 2013 JKU Rubicon with "stuff", planning 37's with minimal lift.

I've tried them all... Jeeps are still the best. (0||||0)

Once you learn what's inside the steering wheel switches you'd be amazed they ever work. Can you say overkill?
