Question HELP ?!?!?!

My 07 JK has been randomly honking the horn 1 time when UNlocking my JK with the key fob. As far as I know it is not supposed to do this.

BTW I disabled the single horn honk upon locking the JK with the keyfob the day I purchased it.

SO what does a single horn honk upon UNlocking a JK with the keyfob mean??????? Does any one have any idea what is going on ????

No pertinent information here- but my '08 honks once when I lock it with the key, and doesn't honk at all when unlocking it with the key (lights flash twice). Might be a low battery in the key FOB. dunno.

You CAN turn off the single horn honk when LOCKING your JK. Look in your owners manual to find the instructions on how to turn it off.

My situation is when UN-locking that the horn honks one time.

I will have to try changing the fob battery.

Yea- I got it. I was just describing how my '08 JK operates.

The '07's definitely had some electrical gremlins. Not sure if the low batt is the cause or if there might be something else wrong.

I find that sometimes mine does this after the alarm goes off, but it is only that time I unlock it...

I have heard that it is an indication of vehicle tampering. Like someone thying to use the door handles when locked. However, i have tried it and it doesnt seem to work all the time. Mine does the same single honk unlock thing occasionally too. I just ignore it.

Sorry for the thread hijack but how do you turn off that annoying seat belt reminder? Haven't really reserched it yet but thought you all might know.

Theres info on how to do it in your owners manual, but the light stays on on the dash.
To completely 'fool' it, theres a connector under the seat you stick a jumper wire in, theres a write up in the library on here on it

I had mine do this once when I had the doors off. I hit the fob to lock it out of habit and when I hopped back in later to start the Jeep, it beeped once at me. I think it's the Jeep's way of indicating something expected didn't happen, like the key going into the ignition before the doors were unlocked.

EDIT
Can't recall this happening when doors were on or after unlocking the Jeep
