Blinker mod

OK so I did the blinker mod a while back and it worked , but tonight when I looked at the car next to me I couldn't see it .turns out when I turn the headlights on it stops . any ideas did I use the wrong wire ?

Cool Youtube to the rescue

This guy did a nice job with this video. I haven't tried it yet. Personally I'm amazed nobody has made a kit for this yet. Also note that there may be a resistor needed if you have an LED bulb for the signal.

Thanks I will try this when I get home , PSC makes a 3 wire led but I was to cheep to by it .

that Youtube video is not showing up for me. what is the "blinker mod"?

You turn the outside marker lights into turn signals.

that's what I thought. I disconnected mine and threw them away when I cut my fenders.

So I tried this today and have the same problem, I am running led's maybe that is the problem. it will work it just stops when I turn the lights on .

OK so I left this alone for a while but it still isn't working right , do I need a resistor ? Yes I am using a led now and it will work until the head lights come on and then it stops . no fast flash no code it just stops any help would be great .
