Rock Slide Eng 50" lightbar mounts problem

First, let me say that Rock Slide Engineering might just be some of the best customer service I have dealt with in a long time. I am only posting here because they are likely done for the weekend and perhaps someone has had the same problem I'm having, or a solution.

My light bar measures 49.5" without any mounts (just end caps). The brackets are listed as "50 inch light bar brackets". However, once installed they measure 51.5" from inside edge to inside edge. I tried spacers but there is not enough surface contact to hold such a long light bar in place (just rolls backward).

So, what am I missing here? Seemed pretty straight forward: bolt the brackets on, place light bar on brackets, tighten it all up. But something is amiss. Suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks all!!

Matt

my buddy had the same issue with his light bar.... different mounts... but some of those Chinese light bars come in different sizes .. anyway he just used some big rubber washers and worked perfect held the light tight.. so give that a try should work.. just have to find the right size rubber washer so it can grip tight .

Home improvement stores usually have a good selection of bushings and washers.
