Can I reuse Jeep battery into a mustang?

I just ordered an optima battery for my Jeep but my girls mustang needs a new battery. Can I just pop it right in and use it for the mustang? I have never done this before and it seems that it can be done.

I am sure as long as it's 12 volt and the cables will reach the proper terminals it's ok.

Just tell your daughter to be carefull if the stang starts wanting to climb rocks or ford streams and stuff.

I just hope the jeeps 3.8 will last as long as my girlfriends. 180,000 miles and you can even hear that engine running.

See there is the difference between a young buck like yourself and a grandfather. I see girls and think daughter.

Don't know about cranking power. But I know it must take a lot of it to turn over our mighty mighty minivan engine. What's she got a 302 BOSS? 351 Cleveland?

I'd find out how many CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) the Stang system can handle. If it's less than 660, you have a prollem wit de stang, mang.

The vehicle will tell you if the battery doesn't have enough amps......by not starting in cold weather, or sounding like it's cranking slowly. You should be fine as long as it fits under the hood properly.
