MYGIG East/West Issue

I literally just picked up my 2010 factory order today and am thrilled! However.....the navigation display on the MYGIG map mode has the compass arrow (located left on screen) pointing East when I am traveling West, and vice versa. So East is West, and West is East according to the arrow. Anyone have any ideas here, or will I be taking this into the dealer in the next few days complaining about my brand new vehicle's navigation system? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried re-setting the NAV from the engineering menu?

Warning!! changing settings in the engineering menu can render your MyGig useless. (such as calibrating the touchscreen incorrectly, and you can no longer select anything from the touchscreen!!) Be careful.

press up, down and menu at the same time. (I think) Arrow down and select navigation(?) from the menu. inside the nav section is a reset option.

Once in a while mine shows that I'm driving backwards on the map. re-setting it always fixes it for me.

Good luck.

Now back to a 2013 JKU Rubicon with "stuff", planning 37's with minimal lift.

I've tried them all... Jeeps are still the best. (0||||0)

Problem solved. Someone pointed out to me that the red arrow always points north. I thought it was acting like a compass rose, and I was obviously wrong. Hey, I'm a newbie! But I love my new ride. I'll get some pics up next week. Regardless, thanks for the info!

RTFM......already took that approach before posting, and couldn't seem to find anything. Perhaps I missed it. Regardless, thanks for the advice.
