LED Lights and Radio Static

I just installed Bulldog LED lights using my SPOD. They work fine, however when the radio is on and I turn the lights on all I get is static on the radio.

Having searched this forum, I see that this is a common problem with LED lights - has anyone come up with a fix? Is there some device, resistor, flux-capacitor, that I can attach to these things to get rid of the radio static??

It sounds like the light doesn't offer RFI (Radio Frquency Interference) Suppression like some brands do (I've not had test issue with Baja Designs or Rigid lights). Maybe reach out to Bulldog to inquire if your lights should have that to prevent interference when you're listening to the radio. My guess would be either your Bulldog does not offer RFI Supression on tyeir lights or you have a defective light.

If our lights do not offer RFI Supresion you'll either have to deal with interference or maybe replace them. As for a fix, I really couldn't say on that as I'm not and engineer.

Sure my rig has seen the trail, but I wheel it like a soccer mom looking for a parking spot at Nordstroms.

Thanks. I want to trouble shoot it a little more. When only 1 light (either one) is attached to the SPOD terminal there is no interference. When I attach both lights, I get the interference - so Im going to play with the wiring a little and see if I can figure out what the issue is. I just installed a set of Baja Designs on my A-pillars and I love them, bright as hell and no interference at all.

Fixed it!!! Its always the simple things. For some reason when the SPOD cover was on it was putting enough pressure on the wires to break the ground - even though it was still securely attached to the ground terminal (possible loose wire/ground spade connection I will have to inspect later). So I reran the wires going into the SPOD box and BAM - all better. Thanks to those that commented.
