Bulldog LEDs and SPOD - Wiring noob

I have a question that I hope you guys can help with. I just finished installing an SPOD into my 08 JK and received the lights I ordered from Bulldog Lighting.

The Bulldog LEDs come with a nice wiring harness and a switch. As I want to run these from the SPOD, I don't think I need all the wiring harness.

The wiring harness comes with a 40a relay, the on/off switch and a fuse holder. Can I attach the harness to the light, and run power and ground to the Spod and cutout the relay and switch section of the harness? I realize I would need to splice/solder the wires together after cutting out the relay and the switch wiring. But I just want to make sure this is the correct way to proceed.

Thanks
