You only use one hole (I have the same mount, and have no idea why they give you 2 holes).

You also need a Stud for the coax like this (this is the one I have) http://www.walcottcb.com/stud-mount-...eel-p-249.html , or a coax/stud combo like this: http://www.walcottcb.com/hs818tnkt-1...tud-p-199.html

Also be aware that you need to grind off the powder coat of that TF mount- you need to grind off on the underside of the portion where the antenna will mount, and you have to grind off where it mounts up against the tailgate. This is needed to get a good ground.

you might want to look at my link again and cut your losses, the one I posted is grounded, comes with the coax, amp'd, and is so easy to install, a cave man could do it! LOL It really was a great set up and I've had 0 problems with it!

i made my mount i showed the link to you but i guess you didnt want to do that.
for my ground wire on the tail gate there is a plug on the left side i pulled that out and cut a slit into it i ran my coax and ground thru there and the plastic plate on the inside of the tail gate that pops off and ran the coax to the cb and the ground i put it underneath the hardtop bolt.

you dont want to ground it to the stock tire carrier as it doesnt ground good.
scottrock tole me that^^^

TheBeatenPath i did look at your post, thanks for the pics. i did exactly what you did only i ran my wire through the hole on the right side of the tailgate because my antenna is on the right side. everything is working good now i get lots of static and i can hear people but not i just need to get this thing tuned up. the antenna i bout was an original firestick with the cut to tune but i tihnk im going to trade it out for the easy tune firestick that you dont need to cut, when i was buying my antenna i didn't realize it was a cut to tune.
