Lockpick camera question

A friend has a a lockpick unit running an Alpine camera, but he wanted to put a flush-mount camera in instead. Hooked up one of the Gino reverse cameras off Amazon, and there was no video. Hooked up the same Gino camera from my JK and still no video. Hooked up a forward-facing flush mount camera that looks exactly like the Gino one and BINGO, got video.

Can't figure out for the life of me why those Gino cameras didn't work on the lockpick when they worked perfectly with my NAV-TV unit in my JK. The only thing I can think of is that the Lockpick simply doesn't like the signal being sent out of those cameras. Anyone have any idea why this may have happened?

Output frame rate comparability issue?

Signal level comparability?

I'd say one of them

Unspoilt by progress.

I noticed my Lockpick wasn't putting out a full 12V to the backup camera. I wired the camera power to the backup light at the tail lights and it worked fine.

I'm a JKO Reject

That's interesting. Maybe the other cameras had a wider range of voltage where they functioned, and the Gino's didn't. Will have to try running direct powe to see if that makes a difference. Thanks for that.
