What's it doing when you turn the key?

Does it crank at all?
Does it just click?
Nothing at all?

More info please.

when i turn the key to the start position nothing happens the lights that come on when the key is on accessory like the oil light abs engine but when you turn to start position they stay on but wont start i think that theres a short or a sensor overheating but im not sure she said her panic button on remote dont work but the door locks do could the alarm or anti theft still be on somehow?

by chance is there a RED LED on the dash when you turn the key to start it (when it doesn't start?)

The reason I ask is; I've read where people are having issues with the security ststem. Apparently it's not recognizing their key and they had to have the dealer reprogram them.

Have you tried your spare key when this happens?

Sorry for not getting back to ya. My computer froze up last night, Ugg!!!

Yeah, the dealer can put it on their diagnostic machine if need be. But if the vehicle isn't recognizing the keys (all of the time) then that could very well be your problem.

As far as the horn not beeping when you deactivate the alarm...I think that's an option you can program in yourself.
