factory radio question

Ok, i've searched months ago & couldn't find anything. I'm searching again, can't find anything. What the hell radio do I have? Also, what wiring harness do I need to install an aftermarket radio in this thing? There seems to be a million options on harnesses.

07 Rubi Unlimited with sub-woofer, no steering controls. Infinity, not infinity? Amp, no amp(assuming amp since it's got a sub)?

If I've gotta rip the thing out & get the serial # I'm gonna flip a shit.

The three letter code on the bottom right should tell you the radio model.

I wish I could help but I honestly don't know the model number. If you have to take the deck out, it isn't that difficult. My thread about removing the stereo and speakers is still on the first page of the electronic section. It will take you about 20 minutes.

Matt. Your write-up needs to be placed in the write-up section. PM Larry, aka Gold Knight if you need help. I think he still runs that section.

The OP's picture is not an RER. RER has a screen and is the navigation/sirius/infinity/amp/sub version. That may be an RES.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

Second question. Regardless of the model radio that it is, being a RES, RER, or abcd or 1234 or whatever, is the harness needed for an aftermarket radio the same? Would this work?http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Harnes...SJM6C9Y9E65RMY Or do I need one of those with the can bus crap that's 70+ bucks? I guess what i'm asking is what harness do you need for what radio?

I would just go out & look at it and find out what model it is, but I don't have it here with me. Trying to get a family member to tell me the radio model #, but apparently they're being lazy beyond all belief.

Sorry bout all the idiotic questions. I seriously feel like a dumbass right now, I've never had these sorta issues with radio harnesses in the multitude of vehicles I've put head units in.

Don't know the answer to that but I'd call a jeep dealer and talk to parts dept. I'm thinking the canbus
will determine if you need a jeep harness or aftermarket.

Did you read the reviews at your link? You need to.

Are you referring to the power thing(easy fix), or the lack of amplifier support? I'll be going with a new amp to power the entire sound system anyways. New satellites and sub(s). Ditching the entire factory mess.

guess I should have ran out to mine and looked.. :-P
I would go to Crutchfield and look and see what is required, then go hunt the web for best prices... MOST of the time..Crutchfield has all the answers (they do the leg work)
Most important, make sure NOT to get that thing tied into the CAN bus
