Factory radio to upgraded factory radio swap problems

I acquired a used Jeep radio (C6230DJ Touchscreen/Nav/Bluetooth) from a friends 2013 wrangler and am trying to connect it to my 2007 Wrangler. Once I get the plug connected, the radio powers up and works properly except... NO SOUND. I've been told that there isn't a connection with the factory AMP installed in my Jeep coming from the new/used radio.

Do any of you know if there is an adapter that I can purchase which will accommodate the communication between the radio and the AMP so i'll have sound?? Or is there another way, besides completely re-wiring with a new radio/AMP/speakers, that I can make this new/used radio work?

Thanks in advance!

It is very possible that the upgraded radio is only compatible with the amplified audio system. You could always try to integrate a factory amp into the equation.

Isn't there a different speed can bus between 2007 and 13? Not sure if that's your issue, but you may want to make sure it's compatible.

it's also very possible that your computer isn't flashed for that model headunit AND the Amplifier required nor is the firmware gonna be the most uptodate compared to the '13s ....that, my friend, is a stealership reference assist ( if theyre a decent group) or full on bend-you-over (if theyre like most dealerships) prison lovin' session. Remove and hand over wallet, first...

It's most likely one or both of these two. I'm 99% sure the can bus speeds are the same throughout the JK model years. The speeds do vary, however, between Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler.

Life's hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
