Uconnect (yet another question) see post and pics...thanks!

I have the radio posted below. I searched on here and am not 100% sure what radio this is. I do believe it is the base cd player / radio. It does NOT have satellite (Sirius) capability.

What parts do I need to get this radio (if I can) to have Uconnect work?

Also, is it possible to have this radio control an Ipod?

sorry for the crappy pic used my cell phone

look at the bottom right hand corner. your model # is written there. then go to mofv.com/mygig . search for ucconect, ipod compatible.

I was under the (possibly mistaken) impression that any "stock" JK radio can have Uconnect added, if you buy the uConnect module, and have the dealer activate it?

Send a message via AIM to 08RubiUnlimited

You need part number 82211004AB, UConnect kit, which runs about $250 list price. Once you have the kit installed (you can easily do it in about 30-40mins), you'll need to take it to the dealer to have it activated with the StarScan tool, which they usually charge 1/2 to 1 hour labor for.

Awesome...thanks everyone!

I just wanted to make sure that the base radio (that I have) would work with it.

As long as your raido has a Uconnect button then you can add the kit and it will work.

to be honest, I've been hitting up the local stereo shops trying to find a cheap Uconnect module from someone upgrading their stock Chrysler radio to something else. no luck yet tho.

Also forgot to add, you can get part number 82212000, which is the iPod cable that plugs into the UConnect module and lets you charge it as well as control it through the stereo.
