CB Newbie!!!

Ok I know there are several threads about this, but I am a completely newbie to CB's. I am thinking about just getting a CB for my JK, but I can remember being a kid and riding with my grandfather listening to all the truckers and getting to talk to them some and I loved it!!! Also will come in handy for trail rides and other things along those lines. I know what I want, but just don't really know about the mounting location. I like above the rear view mirror but the cable hanging might get on my nerves, I would really like to hide it, but that makes channel changing an issue. Any suggestions? If I hide it I will probably try and find some kind of extension for the mic so I can just have a plug somewhere in the dash to plug the mic in while the CB is hidden.

Please help!!!!

I have a Cobra 75 all in 1 unit. I LOVE IT!
and I can unhook it and put it in the glove box for security.

x2....your antenna runs the length of the Jeep under the carpet (or if you wish the framing of your Jeep through the firewall) to the antenna/cb connection box hidding behind the dash when installed. Then just plug in the CB (all in one in the handheld) and mount the hanger to hold the handheld. The handheld cord runs to the plug sticking out of the dash or hanging from underneath the dash (however you want to do it). Channel changing, volume control and squelch are all controlled by one hand operating the MIC since it's all built into the MIC. Do a search on here and there are more threads covering CBs.
