HID Projector Headlights

I just came across some hid projector headlights for the jk. It looks like they make a huge difference! Is anybody using these?

I just threw up a little in my mouth. I'd rather be blind with the stockers than use those.

Woah... Missed the close up shot.

I still like the concept though. Maybe a blacked out design would look better?

Well, that's different. In a 50's rocketship sort of way.

They have the ballast built in, that is why the stick out like that. A couple of people in the local club have them and they are bright. Do look a little goofy though.

I thought about getting those, but I ended up ordering some Hella H4 Halogens with higher watt bulbs instead. They are similarly bright, cost less, and don't have the HID color.

I retrofitted Benz E55 projectors in mine. They're up for sale of you want. I just retrofitted another set (FX-r projectors), so these will either go to another Jeep owner or I will part it out. Some pics when I first made them:

I will probably get some more beam pattern shots when I have the time.

The only problem with HID Projector Headlights is that they have mercury in them.

Chicago area needs to work on the Jeep Wave!!![/
