KC 50" Light Bars

Hey there everyone. I have a few questions. I am about to invest in two lightbars. The question I have is about KC light bars in particular. I can get my hands on a 1327 Big Bone, 327, or a 338. When I called KC and talked with them they told me to go with the 338, but that may be because it is their most current model. Does anyone know the differences? Also my friend has a 327, but he says it whistles when he drives. Will the 1327 do the same?

Not sure about the differences, but most 50" bars above the windshield resonate through the heatsink fins. You can solve it with some small pieces of black flip flop foam or pieces of vacuum tubing stuffed in between the fins to absorb the resonation.

I will have to ask him if that's what he is talking about when he says that they whistle. Will that cause the light to overheat, or do you remove it before the light will be used?

No, you just place a few small pieces on each end of the bar and it dampens the noise.
