Installed fog lights but they don't stay on, WTF?

I just installed some driving lights in place of the stockers. When I turn them on they flash twice, then never come back on. Any ideas? I spliced into the stock fog light wiring harness. The lights say the white wire is positive and the black wire is the negative. I hooked the new lights white wire to the JK's white fog light wire and the new lights black wire to the JK's black fog light wire. Any ideas?

stock lights are only 35W
you probably got standard 55w lights and the computer is shutting you down

time to run a wire to the battery, add a relay and use the stock power wire to trigger the relay and use whatever lights you want.

I did get standard 55w lights. That explains why the stock lights SUCK. So much for a simple plug-n-play job. Back to the garage. Thanks.

I did the same thing but mine stay on. Don't ask why, they just do.

Can you spell Controller Area Network?

Stay away from the CAN-Bus! Even if you use a relay, you must protect the CAN-Bus from any form of "field collapse" that may damage the Jeeps ECM.
Get your power from the battery...lot's safer that way.
These Jeeps are not like the old CJ-5 days that did not rely on microprocessors to handle simple functions like powering up your headlights or fog lights.
