Uconnect, Pandora, and reading texts

I listen to Pandora quite a bit through bluetooth on my headunit (RHB 430)...I am wondering if there is a way to turn OFF the text reading function while still leaving the phone connected. When I receive a text the headunit will let me know which really messes with Pandora. Is it possible to turn this function off??

I would prefer to not change anything in my phone just for my car. Unless you are talking about something in the pairing procedure...

curious to this as well...the text notification is a function of the Uconnect, not the phone from what i understand. Mine pandora returns at about half volume unless i push the button to read the text. drives me nuts. Other music apps return at full volume.

Alright I figure out how to do this (at least with my phone)....If you connect your phone to the headunit then go into setup of bluetooth devices...There should be an option for incoming text message alert, this can be turned on and off. Just tell it to turn off and it should be done. I did have to disconnect my phone and then reconnect to get it to work. You will still get the little letter alert on the screen but it will cut off what you are listening to and let you know you have a text.

I know this is old but has anyone actually found a fix for this issue? I have gone into my setting multiple times and turned off the text notifications but for some reasons it keeps doing it...Driving me nuts
