Is my 09 JK the ONLY one that does this?

I have noticed since it was new that when you open or even SOMETIMES close the passanger side door that the pass side tail light will slightly flash for a fraction of a second. It has done it since new...anybody else ever notice anything similar?

Nope, sounds fishy. Electrical gremlins can be a real bitch. How many miles?

Nope, only thing that comes on for me when opening/closing doors and such is the interior dome light.

It would almost have to be a short. That might get a bit worse down the road... Have you said anything to the dealer yet?

I think they are the LED lights. I have a set of In Pro Car Wear LEDs and my lights do the same thing. I usually only notice it when I close the tail gate but it does flash right as I close it.

Mine does it as well. If you look close, the radio and dash will flash for a mili-second too. Mine is all stock as far as electrical. If you are that worried about it, go to the dealer and try it on some of theirs

Yeah, both of our JK's that we've put LED taillights on do the quick right taillight blink when we close the tailgate sometimes.

I just figure it to be one of those little quirks, and don't pay attention to it anymore.

...just another reason why I don't like all this computer/electrical crap that Chrysler has put into Jeep...YJ FTW!

I no longer work with Warrior. I am now working with The FIRM.

Hmmm ... I have an '09 and I thought it was imagination, but there was a single time when I jumped in, closed the driver's door and I could have sworn the instrument cluster lit up for a fraction of a second. Only happened once.

I have no electrical mods except for a CB install which is on it's own circuit.

I installed some rear LiteDots and front LEDs yesterday and mine's started doing the same thing. Open a door and my front and rear turn signals flash once. Doesn't happen every time and I haven't figured out what scenario that causes it to do it, but it never did it before.

I almost wonder if it has to do with the passive security system. When you open and close the doors with the engine off my headlights come on until I 'arm' the system. I wonder if there is some voltage that occurs with the doors are shut that is enough to light the LED's but not traditional bulbs.

Love you brother and you will always be my hero!

My first thought was the alarm system too. It always seems to require the doors to be closed for some time before it will flash the lights.
