My Gig Question

When you disconnect the battery do you loose uploaded files to My gig?

I tow the Jeep behind the RV and each time I have to disconnect the battery on long trips or it can drain the battery. I've only uploaded a couple of CD's so far and when I went in to play them recently they were gone.

You'd think there would be a safeguard for stored memory.

They're supposed to be written to the hard drive (which is safe from power outages). That's weird that yours disappeared.

I disconnected the battery last week for about 30 minutes and it didn't even mess up the clock. I have no idea how that happens, but it didn't effect anything. I don't think you have anything to worry about if it is written to your hard drive. Its the same thing as your home computer. When you completely power that down, you don't lose anything.

The battery in the mygig may not be good. I have had my battery disconnected a couple of times with no losss of anything, even all my presets on sat and am/fm.

Talking

As the previous gentlemen have stated, this is not normal. I have had my battery disconnected a zillion times and have taken the MyGig out of the Jeep twice and nothing was affected.
