quick disconnects

Looking for helpful suggestions from anyone who has relocated their license plate to the back of the spare tire. I have already completed the relocation but I am now looking for ideas from others who have ran their wires or at least the quick disconnects hardware used that let's you remove license to enable you to change a flat tire.

I used one of these. My setup might not be "superior" but it works for me.

Thanks for your reply .What did you switch too? are your wires hanging outside or did you find a place to tuck them?
