E-Disco/Sway Bar Light

Anybody figure out how to kill the flashing Sway Bar light after removing the E-Disco? Maybe jumping a couple wires on the remaining connector or something?

If he was aiming down the sights correctly and had plenty of practice rounds under his belt, there would only be one side of this story.

Yup, CAN is a bit smarter than that. The tuner will take that out of the circle of modules that need to respond on the bus. Like an X or Sahara. But let us know you're cure!

So you tried this?
I would imagine that if you can figure out which leads make contact in the disco motor when the bar is engaged, and trace those up to the connector...
Basically make the CAN think it's engaged?

When I first took mine off, 18 months or so ago I tried. You'd need something to duplicate the signal that the disco returns to tell the computer it's status.

So you don't think it's as simple as an open/closed, engaged/dissengaged circuit signal?
I just find it odd that we have found the wire to tap into for disabeling the ESP, and manually override our lockers, but nobody has figured out how to hack the sway bar light. There's gotta be a way.

The charger guys figured out the G12 module interrupt for esp before the JK was out...since the computer shuts the ABS and ESP down if it can't talk to that module. The locker mod is just bypassing the relay. Both those mods piss the computer off and cause it to flash lights tho, kinda of the other direction from getting it to stop a flashing haha.

Hopefully you nail it - I think it is going to be like the airbags and the only way you are going to trick the computer is by building something to replicate the signal it is expecting. If someone knew what it was expecting that would obviously help a lot.

Good luck, I've been doing some reading and inside all that garbage in the swaybar is a chip that sends out a data stream that tells the status of the bar. I'd bet if you isolate the chip and hook it up with the correct inputs to it you would be fine. Otherwise we're SOL. The bus is designed to run in any FU state; shorted to ground, power, or together. It may be easier to buy the PROCAL or have the Dealer remove it.

Yeah... well my "Modified-Friendly" dealer got shut down. I'm left with a bunch of strict Compass lovers!
Maybe I'll just live with it.

Go to the dealer and have them remove feature code SHG. It's essentially the opposite of the programming instructions on page 7 here:

I'm not sure what I'm gonna run yet. Maybe a Currie, maybe a stocker with manual disco's.

I don't calculate the value of my time when I'm doing something I enjoy, ON MY OWN JEEP.

O.k. I got sparks and blew the fuse for the sway bar. Fawk this... going to the dealership to have it turned off once I put a different sway bar on it. (so they don't give me the safety speech)...
