Projector Options

I would really like to upgrade to HID's on my JK. I decided to wait and not run HID's in the stock housings for the sake of others on the road. I really miss HID's though and I am getting people that think I have my brights on even with the stock bulbs. For these reasons I have been looking at my options for projectors.

Its seems to be that the best option is HIDProjectors.com. The problem is I don't think I can justify the price at this point. I'm sure they are worth it, but they are pricey.

My question is are there any other options for projectors that are a little cheaper?

I have found some kits on ebay. Has anyone used them? Do they do the job? I'm more concerned about proper light cutoff and brightness than style at this point. You can clearly see in the second link that they are just a lens stuck in the stock housings. Is this just a crappy knockoff or would it do the trick for the time being?

I'm biased (obviously) but those eBay products you linked to are not projectors. They are cheap knockoffs and if you look closely its just a piece of glass inside the housing. They aren't safe and they will not 'project' any light. Save your money here.

We have a build it yourself kit that can be purchased for those looking to save some cash. Here's a link to that thread: https://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=163777

Let me know if you have any questions - happy to help get you the setup that you're after.

Save up and get JW Speaker

I have a 2013. I put it off for around 9 months doing research and reading and reading on headlights for JK. Finally went with the JW. Well worth it. I must light up about 500 feet in low beam. And about 1000 feet in high beam. On the highway I cover all three lanes with the spread of light. Don't think too much just pull the trigger and buy them. Don't forget the cool factor. They work great. And look cool when they are off. Ok4wd has the best anti flicker harness. Feeds straight from the battery. Stop reading and order NOW !
