Rock Lights

Anyone use these as rock lights? If I go with these should I get 60 or 180 degree? I plan on using the 11mm. I would rather not drill 7/16" holes anywhere, but I want something secure.

I would say the 60 degrees since it will concentrate the light better.

However I would not buy oznium products again. After installing 26 of their superflux, within year half had burned out. Of course they replaced them for free but within another year 13 more had burned out. Maybe these are better but I would pass.

How many do you plan on running?

I was planning on running 10, which would put me at around $65 for the bulbs alone. I found this kit for $55.99 which includes everything, but I don't like how they mount with 3M tape.

You can find them cheaper on ebay, search for led pod.

I am currently running these, they are held on with 3m tape and have never come off. Just clean the area real good before you put them on.

Only 18.4 lm each for the Ozniums, the other kit doesn't specify brightness

I put three of these lights under the Heep. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Two up front to light across the diff / LCAs: one mounted on my forward air tank (facing down/driver/ rear), one tucked up on the side of my oil skid (facing down / passenger / read). I put the third un the rear, center, where the OE muffler was, facing down to light rear diff.

They throw lots of light-- you can see by the reflection on the snow, and have aluminum housings. Very sturdy!

I am happy.

I am going to replace all my rock lights, not because they suck but because I want it bright as hell under there. Going to replace with these, if I can get a good price on them.

I wonder how big of a led bar you could mount under the jeep. With the 50's going as low as 500 bucks, I wonder what a 24 inch bar would look like under there.

The OPs light are .5 watts. They cost $5.99 each. I have the same lights but, they are 3 watts for $7 bucks each. I only have ten of these if anyone wants them. By the way, you don't drill a hole for the light to fit into, you make a small L bracket, drill a hole for the light and just screw them down.
