What wire for power?

Installing a backup camera in my 2008 JK, and want to know what wire from the tail light I can get power from for the camera.

2008 JKU Rubicon. 2.5" Rock Krawler Stock Mod lift, 35x12.50x15 Cooper STT's on Pro-Comp D-windows, 5:13 gears, Uconnect Microphone mod, Husky Floor Liners, Mastercraft Grab Handles, Weathertech Side Window Deflectors, Hitch mounted D-Ring, Rancho Oil Pan Skid, Skid Row Evap Can Skid, and a Rugged Ridge Front Skid. Solid Diff Covers front and rear. Rock Slide Engineering Sliders.

Do you want the camera on the whole time or just when you put it in reverse? If just reverse get the power from the positive back up lamp.

Yeah only in reverse. No need to spy on tailgaters. Unless they're hot...

White wire with the gray stripe. Unfortunately I had two of those. First one I tapped into was the brake lights, so the camera only worked when I stepped on the brakes. Second one worked as it should, looks good for a $13 camera. If it breaks, or of someone fucks with it I'll just order another one or 10. Just plugs right back into existing wires.

I have done a couple for people now and found that not all the wires are colored the same. You should double check where the wires actually lead. The black should always be the ground in the lights though. The last one I did was white and purple.
