Looking to get either hella black magic 55w or kc hilites Apollo 100w driving lights. Going to mount them to the a pillar on 13 jku commando green. Looking for advice or input?

Get rigid D2's instead, takes up less space, draws less power, will probably outlast you and your jeep.

Out of the two, I'd go KC. I've heard bad reviews regarding output on the BM Hellas.
ps- I'm not a fan of the new LED trend (though I'm sure they're much better in many ways)

Its not a trend. How many rigs ran KC on KOH this year and how many ran LED's. I used to have 4 KC's on my jeep now I just run LED'S. The light output is stronger and pure white compared to KC's.

Wrong choice of words on my part, I should have said technology. Like I said originally, I'm sure they're superior in everyway.

I love the KC Apollo Pros. I have the long range, driving and fogs.

Check out Hella 4000s instead of Black Magics. Come in a bunch of beam patterns too. Euro, Fog, Pencil, etc.
