50" Light Bar

So, I broke down and bought a 50" LED light bar off of ebay the other day for $230. I painted the brackets with some rustoleum and got it mounted today. I will be wiring it up tomorrow and update when it is done.

I have to see the front 3/4 shot of the whole Jeep to draw an opinion. I have been thinking about the LED bar instead of traditional lights. Just not completely sold yet.

Good luck. Looking forward to the updates.

What bracket did you use, my friend bought the same light and it was to long to fit in the bracket and we had to bend them to make it fit.

I still need to make adjustments to the angle, but here are pics with low beams and fog lights on, then another with the light bar on. Holy shit, this thing is bright! Well worth the money so far. We will see how it holds up to the 2 mile washboard dirt road to my house.

I love my 50" bar. It makes night wheeling like daytime.

I did get it wired up. I posted a pic from the cockpit a couple posts ago. I will say that pictures do not give it justice. I can post another if it is wanted. Let me know what view you want to see.

Got it here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251338672026...84.m1497.l2649

Hopefully the link works. I am having problems posting with my phone. The light bar took about 3 days to ship. It went out on a Monday and got here on Thursday.

I ordered a wiring harness from Amazon that made wiring a breeze. Got it here:

You ought to check out LEDWarehouse.com as well. Quality is good and prices low. I have their 50, but don't have it mounted yet because installation's a part of another project I don't have finished yet. The test firing was impressive though.

Holly shit no kidding!!

"We will label a lower price than vaule of this item, shipping fee doesn't include customs tax, but we are not sure if customs will ask you pay tax , if the customs ask you to pay more tax, keep your fingers crossed and we will not responsible for customs fee, please understand!"

Keep your fingers crossed? I would rather take that kind of gamble in Vegas. Take your $225, put it all on black and if you win, you can pay for a quality bar with a warranty from a company that will be around to stand behind it. If you lose, you are in the same boat as if the bar doesn't show up. When I can, I avoid spending money on Chinese products sold here but that is sending money directly to China knowing that they are breaking import laws and screwing honest exporters, US companies and the government.

No, they actually ship from the US so I did not have to pay any additional fee. I only paid the price listed on the site, which has gone down a few bucks since I bought mine.

I work with a guy that has the Rigid 50" bar and plan on doing a comparison when we can get together soon and will post some pics.

I have been using the light bar every night on my way home from work since I installed it. I travel 40 miles to work each way. 2.5 of those miles are washboard dirt road, which is when they get switched on. No issues as of yet and the Poison Spider brackets have held them in place firmly with no movement. Hard to beat the price so far.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you don't like it, go break it!
