"MECH ERROR" displayed on stereo

The CD player is not working , has 5 CDs in it but says there are no DVDs loaded. Keeps showing this mech error message on the display WTF??????

If you're gonna be fucking weird, own it.

Transport mechanism has failed or is jammed. Try pulling the negative on the battery for 5 minutes and see if it resets and tries to spit a disc out, if not, time for a new stereo.

Damn, I was hoping there was another fix, I tried disconnecting the battery, but that didn't change it.

And yeah, I know it is a "re-post", but I realized I posted in the wrong section and figured I would move it to the electrical section

If you're gonna be fucking weird, own it.
