Line-out converter question.

Hey folks. Just picked up a black Sport S JKU. Love it!!

I have a sub laying around from a previous vehicle and I wanted
To install it into the jeep. My question is, can I just run the line out converter off of one speaker, or do I really need to take apart the dash to get to the head unit? Thanks for your help in advance!

You can run it off a speaker. Id use a rear speaker.

Ideally you should take the sum of both left and right channels. Some tracks (like Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory . . I believe Track 11) is very stereo heavy and only taking one speaker can give weird results.

I personally amp's all the speakers and used a JL Clean Sweep as the Line Level Converter. . . I believe the Amp I have (JL 900/5) auto sums the L/R for the Sub channel.

>> I both rear channels go to the same harness by the soundbar if you wanted to tap in there. . . or they come up the pass? B pillar. Keep in mind that when you fade front/rear that will affect bass output as well.
