Receiver Hitch Harness Wires?

Hey Everyone,

I just bought a 14 JKU two days ago and I started my first project with the installation of a Smitty hitch receiver. Im moving to Montana on Saturday and Im pulling a small enclosed trailer with some essentials.

I also installed the wiring harness from the tail light to the hitch... However, I cant identify what to do with two wires (red and black) which branch off from the plastic trailer-light attachment.

Ground wires are typically white, so I don't think it's that... But I just dont know what Im supposed to do with them. Those wires arent identified in the instruction manual.

Anyone? Thanks guys!

These are for a direct battery feed, for a standard 4 wire connection you can discard them

Trailer wiring ground is white, standard vehicle grounds are black. Can be confusing at times.

White, ground. Yellow, left turn. Green, right turn. Brown, running lights. Blue, trailer brake. Black, 12 volt+. Red(or orange), Aux... Sometimes used for back up lamps

Colors are for 7 pin RV. 4 pin uses white, yellow, green and brown

08 2 door (yes they made them) 3.5 RK lift, 35s lunchbox locked 30 front 44 LSD rear
