CLEANER????

I hooked my boat up today and it seems like my 4 pin plug on the jeep has some corrosion in it. Is there some kind of contact cleaner to clean these?....My lights work but if I moved the wiring harness the lights go off...

and no it isn't a short in the trailer wiring...all new over the winter about 400 bucks worth of wiring and clear LED lights....worked fine with my old truck.

Thanks

There is an electrical contact cleaner that will help.
You may have to use emory cloth to clean the terminals more.
After you do that I would use dielectric grease on both plugs.
It help with corrosion and contact.

Use the emery cloth first to clean all metal surfaces on contact pins and sockets, then blow out dust with compressed air or contact cleaner. Once you get the lights working coat all metal surfaces on contact pins and sockets with dielectric or antioxidant grease. While the connectors are still together, wipe any excess off with a paper towel. Clean (if necessary) and grease it at least once a year
