Screw Firestone

And every other fucking place that says they can't balance my huge 35x15's

Asshole says the "hunter road force machine" damaged a 12.5 tire

Pretty much told this ass clown "I think that is bull shit"

Why don't these idiots just say they don't know how to balance HUGE 35's?

Fucccccck

You can fit 37-38 on the normal old school balancers, and much larger on the road force. They just suck at there jobs from the sounds of it. Try balance beads?

Yep.. Why buy the machine

I tried the smaller Dyna beads and they did not work out.
There also is a bigger bead available.

This guy mentioned Equal pouches.

Equal is just a brand I believe.

How many ounces did you put in?

8 according to their chart. I've been told I should of used more.

I was getting a violent wheel shake at 40 mph.
I remember hitting the tire and hearing the beads fall. They were getting stuck do to moister in the tire. Probably sticking where they were not supposed to be.

Seems most people have best luck using about an ounce more than the chart calls for.

Maybe they used too much lube. Or maybe the old school paste junk and thats why they are clumping?

Is your font end/track bar/bj's tight too?

Throw some antifreeze in there too... It will stop the beads from sticking to each other from moisture especially during freezing weather.

Everything is tight. Ball joints are new.

But is agree, I don't think I had enough.
I am going to call this truck place. They handle bigger tires I guess. Do the equal as well.
Something to look into.

I emailed them and they won't work on a Jk. The calipers are too big.

This ^. The place I go to added equal the first time. This set they added weight. The only problem with the equal is the grains can clog your valve. You'll have air leaking out if the valve is stuck open. Just add air and it usually unclogs the valve. They charged $15 a tire for the equal and mounting the tires.

I am MTS for them and personally balanced a set of 40" Nitto's just this past weekend on my Hunter balancer. Either you have a problem with your rim/tire. Or the guys up there are just idiots because the dang machine pretty much does all the work for you

Firestone did my 35's.

Need advice or parts without all the bs. Call Marcus at River City Offroad

Idiots yup

I could tell they were clueless. I even asked for an alignment check. He again says he can't do it because its not stock.
I said "no shit" I just wanted them to get me numbers, besides toe and steering are the only stock adjustment, he said it can't be done.
Young idiots. I'm sure it wasn't Firestone it was the dingbats that work there.

What is up with these ass holes?

They only use Equal saying their too big and vibes are nature of the beast.
I told him they shimmy at certain speed and I can careless about minor vibes,
Another shop to tell me they can't be balanced normally,

Not sure if I want to try this or not,

This is why I try and have my tires/wheels mounted and balanced before being shipped.

I may have missed it if you mentioned it, but isn't there a local 4x4 shop near you? Hell at this point why not take it to a 4WParts store or Discount Tire. There's bound to be one in CT that can do it.

My dog is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to 99 a can. That's almost $7.00 in dog money.

Discount Tire balances my 37's with no problem.

When I had 35's that I bought from Kauffman, they too balanced them without problem. Not sure what the deal is with shops saying they won't fit on their machine???

"Can't be balanced" then the excuses as to why.
-Wont fit the machine
-Those tires are not meant for street anyways
-I like men
-I suck at my job

I've heard them all

I don't have a discount tire around here.

Dang, you have a shitty FS shop I guess. My Firestone shop has done all my 37"s and they tell me they can do up to 42" tires. They will also deal with beadlocks as long as I bring them in put together.

08 2Door Red Rubicon. Rock Krawler 5.5 Longarm Coilover, Polly rear Coilovers. AEV hood & wheels, 37"KM2s, JE Reel 1350 shafts, 5.38 Yukon gears, Superior axles, Shrockworks stubby, Fab Fours rear, sPod, Rebel Offroad brakes, Warn winch and lots more.

I chose Firestone because of some reviews I've read on jeep forums.

They balanced my 35s in Houston with no issue either, even offered to do an alignment even though it's lifted lol.
