jk killing the jeep wave...

So long ago when I bought my first jeep (TJ). My best friend welcomed me to the club and gave me the in's and out's of being a jeep owner. Things to watchout for. Mods that are a must and last but not least. The age old custom of the jeep wave. Well at first I thought it was a little odd, but within a week the "wave" became second nature and the idea of jeep owners have their own "thing" became pretty unique. Well today while out on errands. I came to the realization that jk's maybe killing the jeep wave custom. A small amount of the jk's I saw on the road today gave a wave back ( like 2 out of 10). It's pretty sad since nearly all the tj's I've seen and waved at always return the courtesy back. Just wondering if anyone has notice this in your area.

Well maybe Virginia beach just has a case of having more jk jeep owners as oppose to jeep enthusiast with jk's.

It should be a site requirement that you need 1,000,000 posts before you can start a "wave" thread... :th_242735:

I wave to every fucking "Wrangler" I see. Most don't wave back. I don't care. :i20thank20you:

it's the Family Car concept that the jk brought to the community with the 4 door and convenience amenities. True jeeper's are few and far between with the release of the JK and im sure the wave count will get even lower with the leather heated seats and interiors mimicking those of mercedes benz.

I thought fagots in VW bugs were the only people that waved at each other because they share the same embarrassing vehicle.

You have to remember.... there is a difference between a Jeep ENTHUSAIST and a Jeep OWNER!

I for one am a Jeep enthusaist. My last one was an 01' XJ w/ 4.5" LA Lift. I LOVED IT! Now I've got a 2DR (real Wrangler) :th_242735:, and once this one is paid off, I'm getting another XJ for a DD. Or a CJ7! FWIW, IMO once the JK gets older it will work it's way down to real Jeep enthusaists.

a wave thread, now that's a new one :flamethrowingsmiley

I met a wild-eyed spinster on the back of a bus
She asked if there was any part of her I'd like to touch
When I told her "Yer nuts!" she got mad at me
And lectured on female anatomy...

So now I am confused... I have a jk 4-door. So that makes me an owner and not an enthusiast? So I am expected to wave or not allowed to wave? Lol... I'll just wave and deal with dummies flipping me off I guess. I thought that Jeep owners/enthusiasts were suppposed to be fun loving and pretty easy going? What happened to cause all the hatred?

there is no hatred.... i think a lot of people WANT ther old ways and dont like accepting that people are just starting to buy jeeps because they are "cars" personally i drive a Jeep and it isnt a car and i wave at every Wrangler from every year!
