First let me say that I think it is pretty crummy that the OP started this thread less than 10 minutes after sending me a PM (at 3 in the morning, no less).
I sold this programmer to another member almost 3 months ago. I shipped the controller within hours of receiving payment. I sold almost all of the aftermarket parts off my JK prior to trading it in on June 18th. I sold those parts through either this forum, JK-F, or Pirate. I have had nothing but positive feedback.
I know the programmer was returned to stock as detailed in the Superchips documentation. I am almost certain that the TPMS warning light was on prior to me trading the JK in.
I read nothing during the time I owned the programmer that discussed resetting the TPMS routine separately. The following is a link to the Superchips manual which discusses resetting the programmer so that it can be used on another vehicle:
. There is nothing that discusses a separate reset. That link also includes discussion of the TPMS system, so it's not something that was hidden away.
I'm sorry the OP thinks I did him wrong. I go out of my way to do the right thing when it is my responsibility. If Superchips requires that a separate reset be done, and they have not published that information for owners to know, then I believe they need to make this problem right. 3 months is a long time to have something outside your control questioned, particularly when you can only say that you don't think the last owner installed the programmer. All I know is that the programmer indicated I returned the Jeep to stock when I last used it. (FWIW the programmer was set to 35s during the time that I ran it.)
I will contact Superchips to get conversation started regarding correcting this problem by them. I also hope to get the full story regarding the separate TPMS reset issue.
My biggest gripe with the OP is that he didn't give me an opportunity to respond to his PM. I haven't owned a JK for almost 3 months.... but, I still want to help resolve the problem. If I were like a lot of other folks, I would have just ignored the PM and this thread.
