Talking Hard, slick plastic of the dash

Soooo on my way out to Leesburg to pick up my metal header bar for the soft top today, I take a left hand bend at about 60ish, and my EZPass transponder slides to the right, ricochets off the passenger side tweeter, and then out onto the highway. Damn. Gotta laugh, though.

(Note: it wasn't attached because I didn't have any of the click-lock strips for the Jeep yet, and i'd thrown it on the dash just for this trip; usually keep it in the door pocket - in my last car, it stayed put on the dash all by itself unless I was really cranking it in a turn)

So I have to report that one lost and use my girl's transponder for the near future.

Did the same thing with the doors off one day last summer. I managed to stop and run back for it though. I need my EZ Pass to get to work or I would have to wait in line at the tolls.

I don't DO tolls

I went back to look a couple days later but it was nowhere to be seen - Luckily, we were a 2-pass family and my fiancee doesn't need hers anymore.

That would suck - but hey, the other toll pass is velcroed down now, and my mother got me a daystar dash panel for my birthday, so I should be covered from here on in =0)

take a lesson from a JK vet...put nothing...NOTHING!!!...on your dash. If it doesnt slide out of your windows its goes down the crack.

Mine wedges pretty nicely between the dash and window in the gap. I have almost lost a few things on that damn dash though. Better luck next time!
