Pretty sure RK addressed this issue, I know it read it somewhere on the site about how they are covering bar pin problems with the first run of the RRD shocks. Give them a ring or send a PM, i'm sure they'll help you out...I know the info is on this site somewhere just no idea where. Good luck and post up about the resolution!

RK seems like they will resolve this issue quickly and correctly. Problems like this happen with newly released parts. Hope it gets fixed for you soon!

Mine showed up yesterday with the same issue. I was able to get the bar pin lined up and the bushings seated with a large pair of channel locks. No excuse for it, but it was an easy fix.

I should have taken a better photo, but you can see the bar pin on the far right shock is out of place.

My rig has been on Jack stands for two weeks. I ordered this kit on Nov 23, got the kit the day after Christmas. The first set of bar pins blew out my first trip off road. Here is a link to another thread I had on the front shocks being to long. I guess they were for a 5.5 inch lift.

So here it is February 25th and this junk is still not right. I talked to Rk on the 21st, and was told the bar pins were fixed This is what I found today when the shocks showed up.

The first time I installed these shocks the bar pins looked perfect. They lasted about 300 miles, 100 of it off road. This is what I got back for a fix. I am not going to use Channel locks to line up the bar pin

I would think they would expedite the shipping in a case like this; not that it helps you this weekend, but Iím sure theyíll step up and make it right. Best of luck to you...

Wow. Already had major issues, jack stands for 2 weeks and get the same crap. Hardly acceptable to anyones standards, paying for stuff like that is even worse. Hope your jack stands aren't settling into the concrete! When I go out there next week you can hop in it, I'll shake the Jeep, make engine noises and bang hammers against the skids like the good ol' days when you had shocks.

We fixed one of those the other day. We replaced the 2 piece bushing with an old school regular bushing and worked great.

I'd imagine just about anything would be an upgrade at this point.

Sir

We apologize for the issue!

I am not sure if you are the guy or not that wanted the ultra low COG setup with little up travel and all droop that WS ordered the shocks for originally. My gutt feeling is the guys rushed them to turn them around for you when they shortened them for you free of charge. However the real issue lies below.

The really bad thing is if they guys up in shock assembly cannot get it right, then how can we as a company expect a customer to do it? We can't. I will have Chris (one of our engineers) revise the drawings first thing monday morning to use real snap rings and washers instead of push clips (like hold on your rotors) that we are currently using. We will get them made on Monday and next day them to you. I will go over this with the head of the shock department and get it squared away.

We do apologize to anyone that had this happen and please contact us directly.

Jeremy
