Angry 28K on my JK Sahara ULtd

Already needs rear brakes and liners. Is this the norm for DD JK? 3 years old, 5 min commute, only put miles on when on long distance trips. Dealer wants $437 to fix

My rear brakes are just fine after 25k miles. Weird that your rears are bad and not your fronts

I have gone thru 3 seat of rears and one set of fronts in 40K

The Esp seems to keep slight pressure on the rears all the time....

Needs inspection immediately so I'm f****d... This Jeep has been a real POS. It was burning oil, more than a quart every 1k miles so dealer did valve job yet still burning at same rate

I can see that if you're offroad a lot and the ESP is activated frequently, but this guys is a normal daily driver.

Im no help on the oil issue, mine has yet to burn any oil. But the rear pads can be had at auto zone for less than 25 bucks and take like 20 mins to change. Someone did a youtube video that shows how easy it is

I should of bought the lifetime warranty instead of 7 yr...Or may have to sell it before warranty ends. Could be a money pit forever

Just rotated about a month ago (as I do every 5k) and saw no abnormal wear. I'd say, from experience, I'm good until 50k. I guess I drive like an old man

Yeah with the 4 door JKs this is a typical issue. I had to replace mine recently, but it was at 50,000 miles. Dealer also wanted to charge me a ton, somewhere in the ballpark of $350 or something nuts like that. I bought Wagner thermo quiet pads for about $50 and did it myself. It was super easy to do, I was shocked that a "brake job" like this only took me about 30 minutes. Went real smooth.

It's a known issue... wife is super-good on brakes and the rears only lasted 40k dd miles. Replaced pads with Akebono Pro-Act and turned off esp ("partial off") at all times. Now at 83k with at least half pad left and still have not needed to replace fronts.

Knight, you beat me to the "esp" turning off idea, o well. I do the same, turn the esp half way off or all the way off, just depends what I am doing and how I am driving.

I've never done the full-off hokey-pokey but we push that button religiously.

Mines like yours, I just did the brakes on mine, cost me around $130, did the work myself. What gets me is when my leg was broken the damn dealer charged me $600 to change a heater hose! I could have done the work myself but I had a broke leg... Needless to say that dealer can bite me if they think I'm coming back to them.
