If somebody trashed a ring or pinion, they might want them. Speaking of which, I have a 4.10 front and rears if anybody needs to buy some.

If you are creative enough on how to clamp it, you could use a band saw to slice the R&P in half to lighten it up a bit.

Maybe someone bought empty Rubi housings and wants to complete them on the cheap? I dunno.

Someone might buy them, but not for much.

Are we talking axles, or just the R&P?

they might work on the rear, but you still need 4.10's for the front!

Here I am reviving old threads again...

I have had my front end rebuilt once and the rear end rebuilt twice in the last year.... because the lockers quit working. There was a design change in the differential after the 2007MY so they had to replace the ring and pinion along with the locking mechanism the first time. The second rear end failure I think was a result of a poor installation when they rebuilt it last year. When I went in with the complaint the locker wasn't working. Again. They disassembled the rear end. Again. Said there were lots of little metal parts in the oil. So, yet another ring and pinion and bearings and lock kit and I am back on the road.

So far, all of that covered under the extended warranty for the $100 deductible. BUT, there will come a time in the future when I might be looking for one of those ring gears for a reason..... or I might be one stating FREE 4.10 ring and pinion sets. Any takers? heh.

If you are a smoker or indulge in the occasional cigar.....make the ring into an ashtray.

or instead of ashtray, attach heavy duty magnet and now you have a small parts tray....
