Why does this site timeout so quick

Log in, read a post or two, compose a reply, and by the time I hit post, the site has logged me out. Why is the timeout so short on this site? What is the danger of maybe relaxing the auto logout to more than 5 minutes?

I stay logged in constantly on two different computers. Maybe it is your settings?
