My jeep stinks

Seriously, it's been sitting outside for about a month taking all the rain through the roof leak, and now it smells like @#$.

I removed the two floor mats i had in it (the rest of the carpet has been removed long time ago) but smell of the flooded old basement just won't go away.

Any suggestions?

Drive with no doors or top. Then you don't have to worry about the stink.

I have no carpet.. no doors.. no back windows.. and mine is starting to stink again.. I even have one of those girlie smelling air fresheners in there.. but I don't think it's helping..

I hate the smell of simple green more than the reek of my Jeep so I'm not about to try that stuff..

It's a Jeep thing.. whatever.

I took them out long ago. I don't even have a clue where they are. When I did finally get to taking them out the water in those compartments was green.

edit - and I wonder why my Jeep stinks

Find a product with enzymes or live bacteria, it will work much better.

My kid left a 1/2 pint of milk under my drivers seat when we went to Disney World. It exploded in the heat all in my carpet and under my seat i didn't find the source of the smell for 3 days. The jeep was 2 weeks old and it killed my new car smell. I ordered a Oder Sponge on-line and it did the trick in about 2 days. New car smell still gone but no more sour milk smell.

My wife once lost a gallon of milk in her trunk. It somehow slipped down under the spare tire cover. Everytime the car would turn a corner some of the "gasses" would escape from the jug and stink the car up. It took us a month to figure that one out.

Had the jeep for 3 mos and took it to OBX. Got groceries for the week as our rental house was 8 mi north of the end of highway 12. Drove up the beach and about halfway there, hit some ruts and heard glass breaking. No point in stopping then, knew it was some beer loss. When I got to the house, I saw it was also a gallon of milk that was a fatality. Had to hose it out there and pull the drain plugs. On the return trip back to VA, got doused with rain with no top or doors. Back home, pulled the carpet and rented a steam cleaner, cleaned the carpets and hit it with Febreze. Solved!

Just when they think they have all the answers, I go and change the question.

I've used this trick with great results in numerous high $$ convertibles: take a box lid, fill it with kitty litter, then place in vehicle; on the front floor board, take another container, like an old baking pan, or even a coffee can, fill with ammonia. Leave both the kitty litter(in a box lid) and ammonia(in an open container) in the enclosed vehicle for a few days, then remove. All the funk should be gone.
