Midway Jeep Chrylser in San Diego FORGES DOCUMENTS

Just a warning to anyone looking to deal with Midway Jeep Chrysler in San Diego. DO NOT!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Their parts counter just forged a receipt of mine. I'm in the middle of a dispute resolution with my bank and their response includes altered documents.

I'm disputing my hardtop purchase after they didn't tell me it'd be 6 months before I'd get my hands on my hard top. The version of my receipt they sent to my bank contained alterations and added text. I kept my receipt - BUSTED! HA!

Navy Federal Credit Union is on their ass now and considering pressing charges since a credit card dispute is a legal process.

CLIFFS NOTES: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIDWAY JEEP CHRYSLER IN SAN DIEGO!

Express your freedom of speech by standing on city property with a large sign and hand out flyers.
That will definately get them pi$$ed.
Post in rants and raves on craigslist and all other forums.
Dealers like that give us good dealers a bad rep.
When you contact Chrysler make sure you follow up on it so it just doesn't get round filed.

I am no longer in San Diego...but Midway Jeep "test drove" my jeep after an oil change....70 miles! (Never heard of an oil change test drive)I showed them on the invoice the milage when dropped off and the odometer upon pick up. I had not left the lot. The service manager told me I gave the wrong milage when I dropped it off. We got into it and they called SDPD to escort me off of their property.

Wait doesn't the service tech record the mileage when you drop it off and put that on the receipt invoice?

Does his porn include a rottwieler, peanut butter, and oven mitts?

Hey man, with the BBB...stay on them. Repost to them whenever something else happens with this issue. I was actually contated one time by my local BBB representative and then by the Dealer Sales Manager and Owner!!! They fixed my Audi TT ($3k worth) and I didnt pay a cent because I stayed on the BBB and posted every 2 weeks or so.

Good luck.

Wow. Even for a dealership, that's low.

Forging documents is well beyond the range of normal dealership shenanigans.

I went to them to test drive a new Rubicon Unlimited back in `07....after the test drive, the salesman informed me that the sticker price wasnt correct! It was now a $42k Jeep due to the High demand!
It was completely stock as well.

And people wonder why dealerships get a bad reputation.... I would never ever ever do business with them. I'd tell everyone I met to never do business with them.

Just for everyones FYI.

Making a complaint to the BBB is pointless. BBB now charges buisnesses to participate in their program (ie. BBB buisness awards, etc.). They will send a request on your behalf but will not take any action due to the possible loss of revenue. I have filled several BBB reports on several companies to include quadratec (which actually has several thousand complaints against them) and they still recieve a better buisness award every year. Why you ask, because they pay a sum (i don't know the dollar amount, all BBB would say is that they do pay) to participate. Taking a negative stance against them would garuntee they would not renew the following year, its simple buisness practice (questionable as it may be).

Agreed. During one of my disputes I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and they took care of the problem. The BBB just notified the business. It was only a few dollars but it was about principal and I was refunded the money. I would give them a try. http://ag.ca.gov/consumers.php

Wow, sorry to hear about you bad experience there. A few years back when I still lived in SD, My wife and I had bought 2 jeeps from them no problems and at a good price. Never dealt with the service department though.

IMO I have never found a dealership that's worth a damn.

Also The BBB is a crock of shit now. You pay a fee and you're on their good list. There's no honesty there.
