Well, its back. Finally.

Three weeks and 5 days, I finally got my JK back from service. This is the FIRST time I have EVER had an extended warranty pay of. My part was $600& change. The warranty paid $3554 & change.

Rear locker R&R + misc parts, lube & labor.
Front locker R&R + misc parts, lube & labor.
Transfer shift cable replace.
Both left and right exhaust manifold gaskets (may be for warranty purposes. I was told the manifold had separated from the catalytic converter on the right and two broken bolts on the left.)

All that + tax & misc fees was $3554.98

What they charged me @95/hr labor:
5 hours labor ($475)
Deductible on warranty $100
Misc "shop fees + taxes" $25.65

For a total of $600.65

Add the rental car for three weeks & 5 days ($959 & change)

So my out of pocket was nearly $1600. Ouch.

But, I have it back. Lets see what happens next road trip in two weeks.

Oh, I forgot. The 5 hours of labor was two hours to R&R the Tuffy console and 3 hours R&R on the supercharger. The technician did fix one thing that did NOT need to be fixed... and that was the "foot on brake to put into gear" feature. Before I took it in, I could just shift into gear. Now I have to put my foot on the brake to shift (like most modern vehicles.) I don't remember if I programmed this feature off, or whether it never worked from the factory. Anybody else have this feature disabled?

Well I guess that's good news, $1,600 is a good chunk but better than what it could have been.
