"Just come back after it rains and is less dusty" they insist. All the while these types use his fields as if they were their own, driving their 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and golf carts in them. Most of these people know nothing about farming, what it takes or how it works. But they seem to have this sense of moral, intellectual and educational superiority over these "country folk," so they immediately start trying to change farming into what their feelings tell them it should be. It is unbelievable how difficult it is becoming just to be a farmer with all the attacks from every side, on every aspect of what they do. Hopefully it's not like that everywhere, but it is in some places.

Sorry, rant over. We now return you to your regularly scheduled random funny ****.

I live in the house closest to a farm's property line in a development half surrounded by said farm. I can relate to everything your cousin is experiencing.
While I don't share the farmer's concerns, I still deal with dickhead fratboy mentalities concerning party volumes and other owners with their yappee little shit dogs.
The farmer and I are unwitting allies. Despite the seasonal onslaught of farming activity, really not even a big fucking deal - it's a crop farm, I'd back the farmer in any confrontation with the denizens of the development.
My neighbors are ignorant fucks so, in return, I've made life uncomfortable for a few of 'em by presenting copies of local ordinances defining their transgressions and how I would otherwise have no qualms about taking matters into my own hands...one of those neighbors abruptly moved out.

My Dad had some neighbors who did the same type of thing, built over the line onto his land, rode their 4 wheelers on some of it like it was theirs. He didn’t really care too much since it wasn’t that conducive for crops. Then they started complaining about the noise and dust. He said fuck ‘em, game on. Took them to court and sued each one of them for back rent for the use of his land, some of them going back as much as 15 years. My old man was not one to be fucked with.

If you're gonna be fucking weird, own it.

Oh, song the song of my people.
I live in an HOA. I am currently the denizen of the HOA for a very simple reason. I know that the asphalt plant that is adjacent the said HOA has been there for at least fifty years, that i know of. It has been a pretty productive plant, and has been a good neighbor. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of millennial mommies that have decided that said asphalt plant is injurious to their health. Now they are trying to use the HOA, which has 900 homes in it, to shut down the asphalt plant, which happens to be owned by a multi billion dollar corporation. The hoa has only been occupied for 6 years. They better not think about using my money to go to court for a battle they are absolutely certain to lose.

Had a friend in TX that sold off a little of the family land for a subdivision. One woman that bought there was constantly calling him and complaining about the cows rubbing against the fence, mooing, dust, cow patties, etc. One day one of his cows died so he got his tractor and dragged it over to this hag's fence. She called him and he said Yes ma'am, I'll be over to get it. He got it...about a week later

Reminds me of my last duty station at MCB Quantico. When the Lts were training for call for fire with 155mm artillery and we had low clouds, the people in the newly built million dollar McMansions to the north of the base would call and complain that their babies couldn't sleep, their windows were rattling, blah, blah, blah. Base had been there for almost 100 years, maybe they should have thought about that before they purchased property bordering a military base.

Same thing with idiots who buy near a gun range or airport then bitch about it.

I rear-ended a car this morning.

So, there we were alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes you just get so stressed and little things just seem funny? Yeah, well I couldn't believe it.... he was a DWARF!!! He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, "I AM NOT HAPPY!" So, I looked down at him and said, "Well, then which one are you?"
