Hypertech update

Mostly because I know at least 1 guy who has one:

New Feature Update Notice!
Hypertech has added all new ENHANCED OFF-ROAD FEATURES to the Max Energy programmer for the 2007-2010 JEEP WRANGLER JK. Update your programmer to add this new option for FREE via the Hypertech Tuner Update Software.

New Programmable Features: The following options are selected from the “TUNING” menu option. These options are programmed into the vehicle’s computer, and require the engine to be OFF, and key in the RUN position.
·******* Adjustable Idle Speed:
o****** 4Lo/Normal/Winch Idle- Allows for the adjustment of the engine idle in various modes. Winch idle automatically controls the engine speed when there is a greater draw on the charging system
·******* Adjustable Throttle Response:
o****** 4Lo/Lo/Mid/High- Allows custom throttle sensitivity adjustment by speed range
·******* Viper Throttle Body Tuning- Prevents check engine lights and engine idle problems caused by installing the Viper throttle body
·******* TPMS Adjustment- Allows adjustment of the factory tire pressure warning thresholds from 2 to 100 psi
·******* Save/Load Custom Tunes- Allows the user to name and save up to 4 different custom programming options
New Off-Road Quick Commands: Off-Road Quick Commands are non-programmable features that are immediately accessible with the programmer plugged into the diagnostic port, while the vehicle is running.
·******* TPMS Control- Allows the user to turn the TPMS on or off
·******* Idle Override-* Instant, temporary adjustment of engine idle speed (500-2000 RPM, in 50 RPM increments)
·******* Fan Control- Manually override the engine cooling fan operation (On or Off)
·******* Traction Control- Turns off traction control
·******* Swaybar Control (Rubicon only)- Extends the operation of the electric sway bar disengagement to 4Hi and 2WD modes up to 25 MPH
·******* Locking Control (Rubicon only)- This option allows the differential to lock in all modes

Effective Date:
January 24th, 2012
To update your programmer, install the Hypertech Tuner Update Software on your computer. To download the software from Hypertech’s website, click here. Then connect the programmer to your computer with the supplied USB cable, and start the update software. Click on the “Update Tuner” button, and in a matter of seconds, you will have the latest revision.
*Note: Your vehicle must be programmed back to stock in order to update the tuner.

Awesome. Been waiting for this. Gonna reset my vehicle to stock and update my tuner.

If Im reading and understanding this right though, in order to use my lockers and such things outside of 4-Lo, I have to keep the tuner plugged in?

Just did the install so far so good will tell more when I get a tank or 2 in it
