Canadian Tire Windshield glass?

Anyone ever use Canadian Tires Windshield replacement service? They use Glass from Allstar. And there quote is $100 less than anywhere else I've seen.

So anyone here have Allstar glass on their JK?

How much are they asking for a replacement. The cheapest quote I got was around $240 from Crackmasters in Riel Park, St. Albert...but that was some time ago.

I paid $240 for mine as well. It was at a Broco.

I lose a windshield every year, so I have taken out and extra insurance for glass replacement. I pay a $200 deductable and get fully re-imbursed.

Just got mine replaced this morning at the Windshield Surgeons on 52 street. $199 + tax From door to door it only took 24 Minutes, didn't even have time to finish watching Sponge bob in the waiting room!

There is nothing as enjoyable as a new crystal clear windshield....enjoy it while it lasts!

My insurance guy got me a quote last year from "CARS Auto Collision" in Burlington that was around $275 (I forget the exact number) I never got around to replacing it but I'm going to soon. I got another stone chip the other day, that makes 6 and a nice crack. I guess it's finally time to do it. lol

What kind of insurance do you have? I have a $500 deductable and was quoted $505 for replacement from a place in Burnaby, told them not to touch it!

Hey Starcat..

If you have more than your basic insurance coverage with ICBC then your deductable should only be $200 for a windshield claim. There's a $500 deductable for your collision/comprehensive coverage, but the windshield coverage is less because they get claimed a lot more, (especially for those of us lucky folks who drive Jeeps and therefor go through a windshield every year).
